Project Title
Eberts Residence
Description
In March of 1969, Safdie was asked by the Eberts to design a bathhouse for their pool. They had seen his schematic plans for the Indian Carry Resort at Saranac Lake and wanted a similar design for the house, based on the geometry of the rhombic dodecahedron. They liked the initial design so much that the original design proposal for a bathhouse was enlarged to become a summer home. This project is particularly significant because it exemplifies the design for the Indian Carry condominiums, and is the single prototype which was built.
