The Cousteau ship peeks from behind the berth, two white cylinders probing the sky. A few yachts lounge about for a night of casino revelry and the dance music keeps everyone on alert. Tenants complain about the disappearance of the water taxi service that used to shuttle between the park and the Jacques Cartier Pier. A red- white -and -blue Norwegian - built supply ship, "Navigation Madeleine" arrives every Thursday to pick up fruits, vegetables, car-parts and a handful of passengers, and leaves punctually on Friday at 1 p.m. heading for the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the Cap aux Meules.
