Description: The former Windsor Hotel was designed by the architect G.H. Worthing and inaugurated in 1878. Designed in a Victorian style, the hotel contains 278 rooms. In 1906, the New York architects Hardenberg & Gilbert added a new wing located on Cypress Street expanding the hotel’s capacity to 750 rooms. In 1909, based on the plans prepared by Edward & W.S. Maxwell, the building underwent alterations in the concert hall adding new doors on either side of the main entrance, and new flooring. A new proposed marquise was designed over the side entrance on Dominion square.
