Description: In 1896, Frederick L. Wanklyn, engineer and General Executive Assistant for the Canadian Pacific Railway hired Edward Maxwell to do some alteration to his urban house on Drummond Street. The plans show a major addition on the attic level containing two servants’ quarters and a bathroom at the rear. A detail plan for the dining room consisting of new wood paneling indicates that ground floor was also altered by Edward. A distinctive feature for this house was the design of the hood over the entrance. It was an elaborated design shaped on wrought iron.
