Client: E.F. Walters
Architect: E. & W.S. Maxwell

Description: In 1914, Mr. E.F. Walters engaged the Maxwell brothers to design his urban house on Landsdowne Avenue, Westmount. They designed a brick house with a steep gable roof. A slate dormer and an arched window above the main entrance door mark the central axis. The symmetrical composition of two pilasters supporting a wood cornice is broken on the front façade by the projecting two-storey bay window of the drawing room. The plan is a rectangular layout with a central hall opening to a drawing room, dining room, front library, and the back kitchen. The hall stair leads to the first floor containing four bedrooms and a sitting room opening to an exterior gallery on the north side. A conservatory with a glass roof is placed at south elevation.
