Description: Misses Scott engaged the Maxwell brothers to make some alterations in their urban house in 1907. Only the basement plan was preserved for this project, the remaining detail drawings suggests re-arrangements of the ground floor, which include the dining room with a new French window composed of double-hung sashes. The new casing were finished in mahogany. The new mantel for the fireplace was elaborated in a Beaux-Arts style that includes pilasters, cornices, and floral decorations. Furniture, including an elegant dining table, was also part of the new designs for Misses Scott. The basement level was altered to accommodate a new man’s room in the existing space of the laundry, new floors for the kitchen, and a servants’ hall.
