Mr. K.W. Blackwell House, Additions and Alterations(1906) Gaspé, QC, Canada Residential, Country house [additions: front verandah, staircase] Client: Mr. K.W. Blackwell Description: It is assumed that Mr. Blackwell (Kenneth William B., born 1850) is the same client that owned a house at 836 Sherbrooke Street West (27), expanded by Edward Maxwell in 1898. For this rather formal and symmetrical house, a sweeping verandah was attached to the main façade and the main stairway was rebuilt with fine, elaborate woodwork details, but with nevertheless simple, clean lines.
