Description: The Laurentian Club proposal features a number of sketches for a series of clubhouses and cottages. These were designed along the same lines as the fishing and hunting log houses already undertaken by Edward Maxwell in the same vicinity. The managerís cottage was done in Shingle style, with a tripartite roof. The front verandah and entrance, leading to the living room, was side-gabled and columned. Dormered clerestory windows were centered above in the thatched roof. The two flanking wings were cross gabled. One wing, with a secondary screened verandah, housed the kitchen and pantry. The other wing housed the sleeping quarters.
