Description: Mr. David S Walker was the president of Walker & Co. Ltd. and the New Birks Building Co. He commissioned Edward and W.S. Maxwell architects to design a two-story house. The Walker House in Montreal was based on the design of Guy Boyer country house (303). The ground floor is arranged in a symmetrical composition containing a billiard room, hall, den, dining room, and pantry. On the first floor, five bedrooms are designed around the hall. Its exterior appearance is very similar using quoins for the corners and around the windows, a steep gable roof, and a triple dormer façade with a portico for a main entrance.
