E. Nicholson Building(-) Winnipeg, MB, Canada Industrial, Factory [1 floor]; brick; composite Client: E. Nicholson Description: The Maxwell brothers designed a small factory for Mr. E. Nicholson. It consisted of a one-storey brick building located on a corner with three exposed façades that allowed proper natural illumination and ventilation. The front reveals a simple façade with a wood cornice and stone base. The windows were composed with traditional sills and lintels with keystones. The ground floor was divided into two spaces, one containing an open plan for the machinery and the other one was dedicated for shipping and fuel storage.
