A.R. MacDonnell House, Alterations([1903]) Dorchester Boulevard, Montreal, QC, Canada Residential, Urban house Client: A.R. MacDonnell Description: In 1903, the Maxwell brothers designed for the alterations of the private office in the residence of Mr. A.R. MacDonnell. The changes consisted of adding a new window and the design of a new bookcase. The distinctive feature for this small improvement was the continuous and broad frieze depicting floral details, as well as the regular square shape for the bookcases and wood panels generating a sense of repose and uniformity.
