Description: The Maxwell brothers did additions and alterations to Mr. G.W. Gill’s house on 153 Bleury Street. The original pitched roof house was modified to a Mansard roof with a skylight to overcome the lack of natural light on the second floor and to also increase the ceiling height. A new basement and a studio was added with slanted windows to allow maximum natural light. The additional work included designing new dormers on front elevation and enlarging the size of the existing windows.
