Miss. J. Henderson House, Addition and Alteration(7/1907) Perth, ON, Canada Residential, Urban house [addition: 1 bedroom, verandah] Client: Miss J. Henderson Description: The Maxwell brothers were asked by Miss. J. Henderson to do additions and alterations to her country house in Perth, Ontario. The Greek Revival style building was enhanced by introducing a front verandah supported by Roman Tuscan columns. The existing pediment was elaborated with a trim in the gables, and the plain cornices were replaced by Italianate brackets. The new pendant railings covered the new verandah, further accentuating the beauty of the house. Other works included the addition of a new sleeping room, fireplace, and interior fittings.
