Description: Among the many CPR commissions awarded to Edward Maxwell by William Van Horne; some of them were average size stations in Ontario. Arnprior, located 80 kilometers north of Ottawa on the Transcontinental line, provided the architect with an opportunity to design a prototype. The Arnprior model was to be replicated numerous times in the Ottawa Valley region. This station was demolished.
