Description: The design proposed by the Maxwell brothers retained the original external features but major changes were done to the interior layout. The existing gallery attached to the drawing room was removed and a private porch for the new dining room was added. The altered plan comprised of the new entrance vestibule leading directly into the dining area and the drawing room at the side. The intermediate lobby at the centre of the house acted as a node and gave access to the bedroom, dressing room, and sitting room. The building was eventually demolished.
