Cahan Description: This compact (30’ x 46’) urban house on east side of Querbes Avenue, at the eastern edge of the municipality, was perhaps used also as medical offices: two rooms on the ground floor are listed as the reception and the consulting room. The rest of this floor contains services and a garage. The main floor has the usual living-dining rooms sequence with the kitchen in the back. Three bedrooms, a sitting room and a maid’s room are located on the top floor. The varied brickwork (quoins, rustication on the ground floor, arches) and stonework (keystones, balustrade) animate the otherwise austere façade.
