DESCRIPTION Born in Montreal, Hugh McLennan (d. 1915) studied arts at McGill University and architecture at the Academie des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He died in battle in the First World War. In 1929 the McLennan family established the Hugh McLennan Memorial Scholarship, awarded annually to an outstanding graduating student in Architecture at McGill University who showed promise of creative ability. Hugh McLennan's sisters donated the drawings to the CAC. Architectural Drawings, 1913, 31 drawings.
