THE MUSEUM

Museums are buildings where the past, present and future of diverse civilizations intersect. Some museums evoke a dialogue about context and site, others are designed to celebrate the traditions of a particular culture and to become cultural landmarks within the dynamic urban fabric. The Museum is an exploration of cultural passages through time. Safdie’s museums are microcosms of a city. His designs create settings for public ceremony by organizing large complexes into perceptible parts.
