Mamilla Hotel
Mamilla Hotel
The Mamilla Hotel rises from the network of alleys that connect the walled and new cities of Jerusalem. The hotel combines historic patterns with modern details, representative of its location. The hotel’s Jerusalem limestone walls and terra-cotta tiled roofs create material continuity with the surrounding historic buildings. Inside the hotel a spare, minimalist aesthetic contextualizes and frames the historic Jerusalem architecture. Safdie designed the 194-room hotel in conjunction with the Italian designer Piero Lissoni. Images on this page: 1 Courtyard view; 2 Interior view; 3 Exterior view Jerusalem, Israel
