Snowmass Housing

This proposed project comprised 88 housing units, located on two sites, designed to be occupied by moderate-income, permanent resident employees of the Snowmass resort area. The project was subsidized with free land and financing utilizing tax exempt bonds. The three-story structures were to be clustered around open spaces and were to have glass-enclosed terraces to overlook panoramic views of the surrounding area. Units were designed to be entered from parking areas at the rear of the complex. The construction process would have employed prefabricated modular wooden units that were completed off-site to reduce the length of on-site construction time, which was limited due to weather conditions.
