Misgav Ladach Institute for Sephardic Studies
Project Title
Misgav Ladach Institute for Sephardic Studies
Description
This project involved the design of a research institute and library for Sephardic studies. The Institute was to be located on an historic site in the Old City of Jerusalem, and was to include additional facilities such as a museum, auditorium, offices, and living quarters for six scholars. The proposed structure contrasted massive stone exterior walls with a lighter lace-like interior precast concrete structure. With its use of stone walls and precast arches all constructed in Jerusalem stone, the building would have been in complete harmony with the surroundings structures of the Old City.
